When you think of Spain – you think Sun, Sand, Sea and the slight indulgence in local beer and cocktails. Spain is also well associated with Rioja, Paella and Bull fighting! I got a very interesting surprise when I found a list of the Top 5 Spanish Supercars & Concept Supercars on Car Buzz. One that caught my fancy was the Tramontana. with its fighter jet look, tandem seat arrangement and kick ass acceleration output…..

I conducted a web search the other day as I wanted to find out the latest in Supercar automotive news and if there were any new players that had seen an opening in this highly competitive market. I came across this guy – Kevin Czinger | @CzingerKevin
Kevin is the Founder | CEO of Divergent 3D / Divergent Microfactories and main designer of “Blade” a Supercar built from Carbon Fiber and Aluminium components…. Not different from any other Supercar these days you might think? well the Blade is different as it is sculpted using and 3D Printer..yep a printer produces this beast! Kevin’s main belief is that most of the toxins that are produced by car manufacturers these days are at the manufacturing stage not the emissions. His strategy is to produce a 3D printed car range that will only produce a third of the carbon footprint of normal car manufacturing levels. His objective is to use 3D print technology in multi-model car design & development by doing this it will in-turn reduce the cost of unit production and allow the consumer benefit by the companies economies of scale.
When I searched for the Italian meaning for “Urus” this is what I got – A recently extinct long-horned European wild Ox. Okay so I can see why this name is suitable for a Hypercar manufacturer like #Lamborghini to name their latest creation, an SUV – #Urus! Makes perfect sense right? ….Wrong I think it should have been named after an animal that wasn’t extinct like…..Long Horned OX??
I am fascinated with tornado’s, watched all the Hollywood flicks that have been made about them – 1996 I think with Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton. Anyway what have Tornado’s and the New Hennessy Venom F5 have in common?? Well it’s simple…. An F5 Tornado has wind speeds in excess of 200 mph, the largest on the Fujita-Pearson Scale (which measures Tornados possible disaster path) has similar speed to the Hennessey VenomF5 which has a targeted top speed of 290MPH! Yep that’s gonna leave a lot of other Hypercar manufacturers frowning….. So with this objective in sight for John Hennessy’s company the question needs to be asked – Is the Hennessey #VenomF5 the Real Tornado? Is it to be the fastest production ever??

I was reading an old #topgear magazine the other day (have a tendency to hold on to these things that I don’t need!) and came across an article about the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series and had to do some research into it and add it to this Blog site. This model was launched in 2013 the original launched in Jan. 2010, but the Black Series was a special version from the “Black Ops” AMG division at Mercedes Benz.

10. MAZZANTI EVANTRA V8-
the new company MAZZANTI was founded in the year 2000 by Luca Mazzanti and Walter Faralli in ITALY, this company produce only in limited series of 5 units per year, each of them indivdually persanalized. The car has an aluminum V8, 7.0 L pumping out 701 HP with a 0-62mph time of 3.2 sec.
9. MARUSSIA B2 –
The MARUSSIA B2 is the second car of the russian company made after the B1 the B1. It has either a 2.8 V6 turbo engine or a naturally aspirated 3.5 v6 with power ranging from 300 to 420 HP. Not to 60 mph takes 3.2 sec and goes all the way to 190mph. Despite its skeletal weight and high-performance, the B1 is no stripped-bare road racer.
